They have our stuff.
This only reason I haven’t been screaming bloody murder on the phone day in and day out. We are held hostage by the fact that the moving company has all our worldly possessions.
The dispatcher in Surrey is a gem -
“Your stuff is in Winnipeg? Well, I had no idea.” As if! HE’s the one who sent them there.
“It should arrive in 3-4 days.” How about a couple of weeks?!?
“Oh, it looks like Jun 2nd now…” June 7th and counting…
“Oh, they’ll be heading straight home from Winnipeg.” Actually, we found out from the national headquarters that they are going through Calgary and then Fort McMurray first!
And the best nugget yet: They movers called us, (all choked because they want to be at home with their wives and they’ve been on this never-ending trip) and told me that the dispatcher told them to just dump our stuff in storage in Winnipeg or Calgary to make room for other people’s belongings… and then they’d eventually send someone else to pick it up. Are you kidding me???? Luckily, the movers refused on ethical grounds… so the cross country trip continues.
Being without our stuff for 2 weeks is having some financial repercussions as well as being a major pain in the butt.
- I can’t work because they have our computer.
- We have to eat out at least once or twice a day because there are only so many things you can prepare with no pots or dishes.
- There’s nothing to do at our house except go for walks, sit on the dog beds, read, and fill out our adoption homework. This is good for the most-part… but sometimes we can’t stand it and we go out to the movies and spend money in other ways to relieve our sanity.
- We have to buy all these things we stockpiled, such as meds before we went off our medical plan.
I tell you, these people better be giving us a SERIOUS discount… or else I think we’ll have to take them to small claims court or something. We are so peeved, because we can’t seem to do anything. But in the meanwhile, for heaven’s sake…
Don’t move with “Two Small Men with Big Hearts” out of Surrey!!!!

Oh cripes!! I used them ONCE years ago (out of Calgary) and I STILL hate them with the heat of a thousand suns. I hope everything works out for you in the end. Hang in there
Oh that SO sucks! My heart goes out to you guys. I would hate being without our stuff for so long, and especially when it’s in the hands of movers.
I’d definitely be calling their head office and getting a full discount. AND calling the Better Business Bureau and reporting them.
Here’s hoping your stuff arrives soon!
Hey there,
Sorry to hear about your moving woes!
I can lend you some dishes, ect. if you’d like.
Karen
Oh dear. I would have warned you off … lot of help that is now. Friends of mine basically had to stage a sit-in in the Winnipeg office a few years ago to get their stuff back. Hope it gets there soon…
june
I made mistake that I deposited 25% of estimate price to two small men!
I found that they don’t really cover for damage, I’m so sad and worry wheather they move my stuff honestly or not
I’ll move in 4 days from today..
I should move with Williams but I didn’t know Two small is not responsible company!
They told me that they will scale and let me know weight and charge .45/lbs from kamloops to Langley
Vancouver department ask only 10% and other cocmpany also ask deposit only 10% of estimate!
I’m just so worried…..
I heard moving companies making problems but i didn’t know itwas Two Small Men with Big heart!
Oh my god!!! I found your site by searching TSM. Take action now…they will screw you over otherwise. They are the worst crooked outfit I have ever deal with!!! They were 7 days late, promised a credit then overcharged my credit card by $1500 and threatend to damage my furniture if I didn’t pay!! The driver was high (yes drugs) when he arrived and swore at me when I said I wanted to call the credit card company to see if what theywere doing was legit. It Was Tom in surrey, BC who was my booking guy. They also damaged some of my furniture too. i put in a claim for it but never heard back. When I call Tom he hangs up the phone and willnot talk to me!!!
Hi… I am in dispute with TSM. I have a garnishee order from small claims court, but need to know where they bank in order to serve the order. Claim is for $7,000+damages from an accident on our move. Do you or anyone else out there have their Surrey or Toronto banking information?
Thanks.
Sorry rhonda – I don’t.
Sorry to hear they had another victim, too.
Hi – i just found your website when i Googled the utterly horrible, ridicolous moving company called Two Small Men!!
Here is the condensed version. We moved from Winnipeg to St. John’s, NL. Our stuff was
1) one month late – ridicolous when you move to a new province
2) 3 boxes are missing (still missing)
3) we were over charged 1500 dollars
4) we have phoned the useless office at least twice a day for two months straight
5) they damaged some of our stuff
6) they did not even take inventory of our stuff when they unloaded it in St. John’s – - not to mentiont they unloaded it in the pouring rain!!
7) this has now been dragging on since July 2007
I have no idea how they are still in business.
Like other posts here, we have sued them in small clailms court, and have been awarded judgement! However, in order to collect the judgement, we have to garnish their bank account.
Do you know what bank they use in Winnipeg? Short of hiring a “goon/hitman” to “follow them around”, this is not an easy task to do. (finding out what bank they use)
I have searched the manitoba court registry website.
(http://jus.gov.mb.ca), and we found out from that that they had an account with Astra credit union on Meadowood ave at one point, but they do not bank there anymore.
If anyone knows where they bank today, I would really appreciate the information.
If you want to talk, email me at j_korchoski@hotmail.com, and i can give you my home/work/cell numbers. Thanks!
i use to work for the surrey branch and i feel sorry for all of u they pay there guys in cash and dont deal with banks lol in all honesty i dont think anyone can do anything exept for patition outside the office in surrey i think if a hundred people were on the road with signs the media would show up and take everybodys stories that would be the most awsome thing in the world to see lol they will be in buisness forever becouse of the name and i feel sorry for even working there i was there for one month like alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll of the employes
Hi. I’m representing a couple who had a similar experience moving from Winnipeg. I’d love to hear from people who successfully sued TSM in Winnipeg. Did you sue the numbered company or the owner? Ever discover banking or other relevant information for them?
Sorry Chris, but we didn’t sue them.
(Wasn’t worth the time and stress.)
Similar experience for us moving from Toronto to Victoria. The furniture was 3 weeks late and whenever I called they gave me the complete run around. How do these people stay in business? Do they have a conscience?
The driver who dropped out stuff of was a nice guy who had nothing good to say about his employer and he was very sorry that we had such a bad time of it.
So who should we call (since we’re now moving back!)?
